Take the Moorcroft approach

Moorcroft is more than a fuel stop: it is an easy I-90 base with a cattle-trail story and a direct road north to the Tower.

Approaching Devils Tower from Gillette or the west? Moorcroft turns the monument into a comfortable day trip and keeps you connected to the interstate.

Follow the West Texas Trail

The West Texas Trail Museum preserves the stories of cattle drives, settlers and the people who shaped this part of Wyoming. It is a worthwhile stop before heading north into the open country.

Why use Moorcroft as a base

Lodging, fuel, groceries and highway access make Moorcroft practical for families, RV travelers and anyone crossing Wyoming on I-90. Highway 14 runs north from town toward Devils Tower.

Add water to the trip

Keyhole Reservoir and Pine Haven lie west of the main Tower route, adding boating, fishing and camping possibilities when conditions and time allow.

Best forWestbound or eastbound I-90 travelers who want an easy overnight and a full Devils Tower day.
